In my previous job, we built a brand new product and tried to get the public to use it. This was like trying to recalibrate the universe to a new time zone.
However, the Chiang Mai Condo business started differently and became an instant success because it filled a gap. It grew from a real need that already existed. And this was to find a convenient place to stay long term that was both good value and stylish.
These four priorities seem to be mutually exclusive in Chiang Mai. Either the place was great but it was miles from anywhere and you needed a taxi, car or bike to get yourself anywhere – or the location was brilliant but the place was a short-term, expensive, bland shoe box.
Once we found the Trio Condominium, we knew straight away that all our requirements had been satisfied.
The studio apartments at Trio are an extra large 50 square metres with high ceilings and a balcony that looks straight out to the majestic Doc Suthep mountain.
We can walk west and reach the Chiang Mai University ‘CMU’ in just 10 minutes to satisfy our one year Education Visa.
Or stroll east for 5 minutes and get anything you want at the classy Maya Shopping Mall or cross the road and start your journey up the famous Nimman area.
But the best part is that, because of its particular license, the Trio condominium can only allow monthly rentals.
So you can get a long-term lease at a reasonable rate surrounded by stylish and sophisticated amenities.
